FCE Core Data:
FCE Core Data are long-term data sets that address FCE LTER objectives and
hypotheses as outlined in LTER proposals for FCE I and FCE II and that are
supported primarily by LTER funds. The FCE Core Data Table of Contents
(DTOC) is a searchable catalog of FCE Core data sets which includes links to
metadata and data. The search interface allows users to find data based on
diverse fields such as data originator, working group, keywords, themes, and
spatial queries.
FCE Signature Datasets:
FCE signature datasets are those that best represent FCE's research goals
and are categorized under their corresponding core research areas. In some
cases, a signature dataset may appear in multiple core areas due to the
nature of the data content.
FCE Related Data:
FCE related data are collected by FCE researchers at or near FCE research
sites and are part of outside agency programs such at the Everglades Depth
Estimation Network (EDEN) for Support of Biological and Ecological
Assessments and the Ameriflux Network. Although these data are not directly
part of the FCE data archive, they are immensely important to the FCE
research program and the links have been made available in order to
facilitate FCE and LTER network science.
FCE Sampling Attributes
FCE sampling attributes are based on the data fields in FCE datasets. The
'Sampling' search interface will return a list of sampling attributes as
well as sites, datasets, and projects associated with those sampling
attributes. FCE sampling can be searched using themes or specific keywords.
FCE Climate Data:
Climate data includes a list of and direct link to the FCE LTER climate
datasets together with a map of the FCE study area depicting where the 5
NOAA meteorological stations are located in relation to the FCE research
sites. Additionally, this page also serves as a link to the LTER Climate
database (ClimDB/HydroDB). ClimDB/HydroDB is a relational database that
stores climate and hydrological data for all 26 LTER sites and allows users
to query and download their data of interest, as well as, graph their query
results.
FCE GIS Data and Maps:
Geospatial data associated with the Florida
Coastal Everglades LTER Program, including
pertinent GIS layers, imagery, downloadable
maps, and an interactive map.
Diatom Image Database:
The Periphyton Group at Florida International University
created and maintains the Diatom Image Database, which
includes over 980 diatom taxa found in the greater Everglades
region of south Florida.
