Description:
Valve is broadly elliptic with broadly rounded apices, very narrow axial area and small, ovoid, unilaterally widened central area; raphe is slightly sinuous; transapical striae are radiate and composed of three punctate areolae systems crossing each other; 13-15 irregular hexagonal-shaped punctae in 10µm; partectal ring composed of uniform, transapically rectangular partecta (usu.5-8 in 10µm) is about 4µm broad and terminating at the valve apices; length is 30-60µm, breadth is 22-40µm
