Description:
Valve is linear, with slightly tumid centre, and bluntly rounded apices that may taper into bluntly wedge-shaped ends; terminal clear areas at valve ends are about 1/2 the valve breadth; axial area is wide, leading into a narrowly circular central area; raphe is lateral, slightly wavy, but never complex, and central pore is small and round; striae are radial to parallel (short) in the middle, becoming more parallel, then slightly convergent at the ends; length is 160-320µm, breadth is 30-50µm; striae count is 4-5 in 10µm
