Description:
Valve has a straight ventral and strongly convex dorsal margin, and strongly ventrally bent, capitate apices that are distinct from the main valve body; raphe is hardly visible in valve view, is located on the upper valve margin; 2-8 slightly radiate costae in 10µm; 14-17 slightly radiate alveoli (in rows) in 10µm; length is 27-40µm, breadth is 6-7µm
