Description:
Dorsal margin is convex, ventral margin is almost straight or slightly concave; apices are rostrate, sometimes a little capitate, slightly recurved; middle pores of raphe are near the ventral margin, and only middle portion of raphe is apparent in valve view; 2.5-4 costae in 10µm; usually 11-12 alveoli in 10µm, in rows of 11-14 in 10µm, and usually 3-7 rows between 2 costae; length is 40-50µm, breadth is 8-10µm
