Description:
Valves lanceolate with flattened dorsal margin and convex ventral margin. Axial area narrow; central area on the dorsal side in the form of a fascia not reaching the dorsal margin. Raphe branches straight, slightly sloping towards the dorsal side of the valve. Dorsal striae slightly radiate near the center, becoming more radiate towards the ends, distinctly punctate. Ventral striae dash-like.
Notes:
Rare in coastal mangroves near Biscayne Bay from shallow water (< 0.3m) of low salinity (< 10ppt).
