Description:
Valve is linear with slightly convex margins and broadly rounded apices; filiform raphe runs in a narrow axial area, leading to a variable central area (sometimes lanceolate); striae are radial; length is 7.8-24µ, breadth is 3.2-5.1µm; striae count is 23-28 in 10µm
