Description:
Frustule is linear in girdle view; valve is more or less linear (compare with Nitzschia commutata) with slight concavity in middle; ends are capitate; length is (35)50-75µm, breadth is 5-8µm; irregular keel punctae on raphe, fibulae about 7-10 in 10µm; striae count is (28)30-32 in 10µm (about 20 punctae in 10µm)
