Description:
Valve linear-lanceolate, with slightly protracted rostrate to sub-capitate dorsally bent poles, 14-22µm long, and 3-5µm broad. Dorsal striae slightly radiate, flattened at the centre, 22-26 in 10µm, ventral straight, 27-35 in 10µm, invisible under LM. Raphe filiform, located very close to the ventral side. Raphe branches almost straight or weakly sloping upwards from the poles to the central nodule. Central poles very hardly visible under LM. Distal ends more curved dorsally than proximal ends. Axial area very narrow, linear, central area absent on the dorsal side, on the ventral side bounded by ventral striae.
