Resource Allocation in Sawgrass Plants
Juan studied the effects of nutrient concentrations on sawgrass plants. He found that when nutrient concentrations were high, sawgrass invested its energy in making new leaves, but when concentrations were low they produced more roots to increase their chances of acquiring nutrients.
