In the Prop Roots

These walking trees are actually prop roots of the Red
Mangrove. Prop roots make a lovely home for small fish and other young
sea critters because of the protection and shade they provide.
Mangroves are home to a bounty of insects, spiders, and especially
mosquitoes that make a tasty meal for some juvenile fish. |
