Description:
Frustules have a straight apical axis; valves are spindle-shaped, with ends drawn out into long or short very narrow points; keel is marginal; fibulae are small, about 16-20 in 10µm; transapical striae are invisible; length is 50-150µm, breadth is 2.5-4µm
