Description:
Valve is elliptic-linear, sometimes slightly swollen in the middle portion, with broadly rounded ends; axial area is 24-26% of valve breadth, widening into an orbicular central area occupying 37-44% of the valve breadth; central nodule is distinct; raphe is complex, with proximal ends curving slightly to one side and large distal ends curving in the opposite direction ("question mark" shaped); striae are radiate at the centre, becoming convergent towards the ends, and crossed by a narrow band; length is 93-129µm, breadth is 11-21µm; striae count is 8-9 in 10µm
