Description:
Valve is broadly linear with rounded ends; axial area is distinct but is less than 1/3 the breadth of the valve; raphe is complex, with distinct "question mark"-shaped terminal fissures; central area is more or less asymmetrical and rounded; striae are almost parallel throughout most of the valve, becoming slightly radiate in the middle portion and slightly convergent toward the ends, and crossed by a broad band; length is 135-260µm, breadth is 20-35µm; striae count is about 5 in 10µm
