Description:
Frustule is linear in girdle view; valve is linear to linear-lanceolate, with spathulate to broadly rounded to capitate apices; transapical striae are clearly punctate, parallel, may be convergent at the very ends; pseudoraphe is narrowly linear; central area may be irregular, to small, to completely lacking; length is 50-350µm, breadth is 5-9µm; striae count is 8-12µm (most with ~10µm) in 10µm
