Description:
Frustule is linear-rectangular in girdle view, valve is linear becoming more-or-less contracting into attenuated, rounded ends; narrow pseudoraphe is distinct; central area usually lacking, but is small if present; striae are parallel; length is 15-39µm, breadth is 2.3-5µm; striae count is 15-18 in 10µm
