Description:
Valves elliptical to elliptical-lanceolate with small apiculate ends. Axial area straight. Proximal ends straight, distal ends bifurcate, central are qadrangular. Striae radiate throughout.
Notes:
Found in the bottom part (ca. 150cm and lower) of the sediment core collected in Featherbed Bank, central part of Biscayne Bay. According to Patrick & Reimer (1966) this species is common in small dystrophic streams.
