Description:
Valves linear-elliptic with obtusely rounded ends. Dorsal margin flattened; ventral margin more or less straight. Raphe biarcuate. Dorsal and ventral striae composed of small perl-like puncta. Dorsal striae parallel at the center becoming slightly radiate towards the ends, crossed by transapical line. Ventral striae short, parallel at the center becoming radiate towards the ends.
Notes:
Found in surface sediments at Sprigger Bank, Florida Bay where salinity varies between 30 - 40ppt and water depth is < 1.5m.
