Description:
Valves semi-elliptical with acute ends. Dorsal margin convex, ventral margin straight. Raphe branches slightly arcuate. Axial area very narrow, linear; central area expanded dorsally as a narrow fascia reaching valve margin. Dorsal striae parallel, composed of slit-like puncta. Ventral striae short also composed of slit-like puncta.
Notes:
Very rarely found in sediment cores in Biscayne Bay collected at sites with water level < 2m and salinity 30 – 35ppt.
