Description:
Valve linear-lanceolate with slightly rostrate, rounded ends; axial area is narrow, central area is transverse, rounded and almost reaching valve margins; terminal nodules distinct and not large; striae are radiate at centre of valve to convergent at the ends; length is 43-65µm, breadth is 5-7µm (length-to-breadth ratio 7:1-10:1); striae count is 12-14 in 10µm
