Description:
Cells are solitary or form ribbon-like colonies; rectangular in girdle view; valve is isopolar, lanceolate with broadly rounded poles; sternum is broad and lanceolate; transapical striae is robust, seen as a row of punctae placed along the valve margin; length is 6.5-14.0µm, breadth is 2-4µm; striae count is 12-16 in 10µm

Valves lanceolate with rounded poles, sternum broad lanceolate, striae located close to the valve margin.
