Description:
Cells in girdle view are long, rectangular; valve is linear-lanceolate to almost rhombic with weakly rostrate to bluntly rounded apices; transapical striae are short, marginal; pseudoraphe is broadly lanceolate; length is 12-28µm, breadth is 3-5µm; striae count is 13-17 in 10µm
