Description:
Valve is dorsi-ventral or lanceolate, with convex dorsal and (weakly convex) ventral margins, and rostrate ends that curve weakly to the ventral side; axial area is linear and narrow, no central area; raphe is filiform, with the proximal ends turned dorsally and the distal ends ventrally curved; length is 13-28µm, breadth is 3.7-5µm (maximum length/breadth is 5-6:1); striae count is 21-23 in 10µm (37-42 punctae in 10µm)
