Description:
Valves semi-elliptic to elliptic-lanceolate with acute ends. Dorsal margin convex; ventral margin straight. Raphe branches bent dorsally. Dorsal striae parallel at the center, becoming radiate towards the ends, interrupted by longitudinal line running along the raphe. Ventral striae composed of two rows separated by blank longitudinal band, which is not always clear under LM.
Notes:
Occasionally found in surface sediments at Sprigger Bank, Florida Bay from water depth < 2m and salinity between 30 – 35ppt.
