Description:
Valves linear-elliptic with broadly rounded ends. Dorsal margin slightly arched, ventral margin straight. Raphe branches more or less straight; proximal and distal ends bent dorsally. Axial area developed on dorsal side; central area semi-elliptic on the ventral side. Dorsal striae straight at the center becoming radiate towards the ends, crossed by longitudinal costae. Ventral striae radiate, under LM visible only near the ends.
Notes:
Rare on seagrass from Sprigger Bank, Florida Bay from water depth < 2m and salinity ranging between 30 – 35ppt.
