Description:
Valve semi-lanceolate with acute apices. Dorsal margin convex; ventral margin straight, but slightly inflated at the center. Raphe branches arcuate. Proximal and distal ends bent dorsally. Axial area on the dorsal site very narrow. Dorsal striae parallel; ventral striae short, but very easily visible under LM, interrupted at the center.
Notes:
Found only in coastal mangroves approximately 100m west of Biscayne Bay at sites with low water level (< 0.5m) and salinity varying between 20 – 25ppt.
