Description:
Valves linear-elliptic with slightly protracted, capitate ends. Dorsal margin convex, fattened at the center; ventral margin straight. Raphe branches straight, proximal and distal ends deflected dorsally. Axial area narrow, linear; central area very small. Dorsal striae straight at the center becoming radiate towards the ends, crossed by longitudinal costa. Ventral striae not visible under LM.
Notes:
Common in surface sediment at Sprigger Bank, Florida Bay at water depth < 1.5m and salinity ranging between 30 – 35ppt.
