FCE Core Data:
Long-term data sets that address FCE LTER objectives and hypotheses
as outlined in LTER proposals for FCE I and FCE II and that are supported
primarily by LTER funds.
FCE Related Data:
These data are collected and processed by outside agencies, such as
the National Climatic Data Center (NOAA), National Oceanographic Data
Center and the U.S. Geological Survey, and then added to the FCE database
on a regular basis.
GIS Data and Maps:
Geospatial data associated with the Florida
Coastal Everglades LTER Program, including
pertinent GIS layers, imagery, downloadable
maps, and an interactive map.
LTER Network Data:
The LTER Network Data Catalog contains entries for over 4000
ecological datasets from 26 LTER Network research sites, and thousands of
additional datasets from numerous other ecological field stations and
research institutions.
Climate Data:
Climate data includes a list of and direct link to the FCE LTER
climate datasets together with a map of the FCE study area depicting where
the 5 NOAA meteorological stations are located in relation to the FCE
research sites. Additionally, this page also serves as a link to the LTER
Climate database (ClimDB/HydroDB). ClimDB/HydroDB is a relational database
that stores climate and hydrological data for all 26 LTER sites and allows
users to query and download their data of interest, as well as, graph their
query results.
Trends Data:
The Trends website is a portal to a large and diverse collection of
standardized long-term ecological datasets, unique data exploration,
graphing and synthesis tools, and information about participating research
sites and their parent agencies. These datasets, tools and information are
freely available to researchers who wish to pursue cross-site synthetic
studies.
Ecotrends Socioeconomic Catalog:
The Human Population and Economy dataset contains over two hundred
separate variables suitable for describing changes in population and
economic structure since the end of the eighteenth century. The dataset was
collected for each of the more than two hundred and fifty counties
associated with the 21 continental North American LTER sites plus the
Luquillo site in Puerto Rico.
Additional Sources of Everglades Data:
Here the user will find direct links to other sources of Everglades
data found on outside websites operated by various agencies such as the
South Florida Water Management District, USGS and the Southeast
Environmental Research Center. These data are not incorporated in the FCE
LTER data archive.
Environmental Data:
Direct links to sources of many types of environmental data collected
from a highly-distributed set of field stations, laboratories, research
sites, and individual researchers.
