FCE Data Resources Definitions

FCE Data Products: The FCE program has very comprehensive and diverse FCE data products which have been grouped into 7 categories:
1) Core Data
2) Signature Datasets
3) Related Data
4) Sampling Attributes
5) Climate Data
6) GIS Data and Maps
7) Diatom Image Database
Our data sets, including the FCE core data, are accessible online via the FCE Data Table of Contents (DTOC) found in the 'Core Data' category.

LTER Network Data: The National Science Foundation established the Long Term Ecological Research (LTER) program in 1980 to support research on long-term ecological phenomena in the United States and there are now 26 LTER Sites representing diverse ecosystems and research emphases.

The LTER Network promotes synthesis and comparative research across sites and ecosystems and among other related national and international research programs and has made much of its data available online. Here you will find links to six of the LTER network's important data resources.

Outside Agency Data: There are many important links to other sources of Everglades data found on websites operated by various agencies such as the South Florida Water Management District, USGS and the Southeast Environmental Research Center. These data are not incorporated in the FCE LTER data archive or databases but they still may facilitate our research at the Florida Coastal Everglades LTER Program. We've compiled a few links for some of those important sources.
